Job Introduction

Join our team as a Stock Operative, where you\’ll be responsible for managing stock within the loading bay and store to support our sales team in delivering excellent customer service. Your role will involve overseeing the receipt and distribution of deliveries, maintaining accurate paperwork, and resolving issues proactively. Collaboration with colleagues to ensure efficient unloading and processing of stock, along with adhering to safety and security standards, will be essential.

As a Stock Operative, you will:

• Support the organisation and prioritisation of deliveries to ensure timely receipt and processing, and proper distribution to store departments
• Work with B&M on RTW/RTVs, assisting the sales team in collecting stock and preparing items for dispatch, ensuring all items are processed and recorded accurately
• Keep all stock records up-to-date to track stock movements effectively
• Maintain a tidy loading dock and keep back-of-house areas and fire exits clear
• Manage stock movements between different locations within the store
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders about incoming deliveries, delays, or missing items
• Distribute deliveries to designated areas efficiently

• Well-organised, able to prioritise tasks and understand the importance of your role in delivering excellent service, handling multiple requests while ensuring stock accuracy
• Excellent communicator, capable of keeping stakeholders informed about workflow, deadlines, and potential issues, and suggesting solutions
• Collaborative team player, working closely with various teams to safeguard stock, prevent loss, and ensure products are in a sellable condition
• Adaptable, able to work independently or as part of a team, shifting priorities as needed to meet deadlines
