As a Personal Shopping Private Host, you will be at the heart of our new Luxury Shopping destination, where world-class hospitality meets personal shopping. The Private Host is responsible for delivering an exceptional, seamless hosting & hospitality experience within 40 Duke Personal Shopping. Acting as the first point of welcome, the role ensures every customer interaction reflects our standards, values, and luxury service synonymous with Selfridges. The Private Host works closely with our Personal Shoppers, Concierge, and Restaurant teams to curate memorable, personalised experiences for our most valued customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Experience
    • Warmly welcome customers and introduce them to their private suite, clearly presenting amenities and services available.
    • Anticipate customer needs and personalise each visit to create a refined, effortless experience.
    • Maintain discretion and professionalism at all times.
  • Suite Presentation & Standards
    • Adhere to the opening and closing checklists.
    • Ensure all suites and shared spaces are impeccably presented and aligned with Selfridges brand and service audit standards.
    • Collaborate with Operations to ensure suites are free of stock after each client visit.
    • Conduct regular checks to maintain cleanliness, ambience, and attention to detail.
  • Food & Beverage Service
    • Present our menu with confidence and pride.
    • Serve drinks and food with a natural hospitality flair.
    • Ensure service is timely, attentive, and tailored to individual preferences.
    • Maintain excellent product knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
  • Stock Management & Ordering
    • Place and manage orders to ensure suites are always fully stocked.
    • Monitor usage, rotate stock, and minimise waste.
    • Liaise with relevant teams to maintain consistency and availability.
  • Collaboration & Experience Curation
    • Work closely with Personal Shopping, Concierge and Restaurant teams to create seamless, end-to-end client journeys.
    • Share knowledge of 40 Duke events, Brand activations, Restaurant offerings and luxury services to enhance client experiences.
    • Coordinate bespoke requests, celebrations, and elevated moments.
    • Support special events, activations, and PS appointments.
