# Financial Crime Analyst## Financial Crime Analyst### Job Introduction### A Bit About The RoleFTC: APRIL 2026As Financial Crime Analyst you will support the Loss Prevention Strategy, Purpose and Vision by identifying and investigating financial loss linked to Theft, Fraud and other Financial Crime. Alongside this you will embed a culture of Financial Crime awareness throughout the business through training and internal communication, recognising that it is everyone’s responsibility to prevent Financial Crime occurring.**Key Purposes:*** To limit financial loss by identifying suspicious transactions and behaviour linked to Theft and Financial Crime. * To provide support regarding Fraud and Financial Crime allegations to ensure each investigation is managed effectively, and financial and reputational risks are minimised. * To build effective relationships with key stakeholders within the business to influence good practice and the ongoing adherence to Financial Crime policies and process. * To support the effective operation of the Fraud and Financial crime team by assisting with other enquiries directed towards the team.**Key Responsibilities*** Complete regular transaction audits to identify suspicious transactions that may indicate Theft or Financial Crime. * Investigate identified suspicious transactions using internal systems and CCTV to confirm if Theft or Financial Crime is taking place. * Where wrongdoing is identified collate all available evidence and create an evidential pack to assist in the investigation process. * Escalate trends that are identified which could cause a risk of financial loss to Selfridges * Work collaboratively with other teams within the Loss Prevention and Security function to limit financial loss within the business. * Liaise with all stores to communicate and influence good practice to limit losses linked to Theft and Financial Crime. * Respond to enquiries directed to the Fraud and Financial Crime team as required. ### A Bit About You* Relevant qualification in Financial Crime Prevention or a similar related subject. * Relevant experience working in a financial loss prevention role within a retail environment or as a financial crime investigator. * Dynamic and a great communicator. Able to engage people at every level of our business. * Tenacious, able to ensure that all avenues and lines of investigation are fully exhausted, especially in the face of challenge. * Proactive and able to work on their own, as well as with others in a team. * Methodical, and able to prioritises and plan tasks.
