This is a predominantly office-based role with an expectation of 3–4 days per week onsite to support collaboration, project delivery, installations and stakeholder engagement across stores and sites. Flexibility to support and manage overnight installations is required as part of the role to ensure successful delivery of window schemes and instore activations.

Role Purpose

Support the Brand Design & Windows Lead in delivering innovative and commercially impactful window styling concepts for Selfridges. Work collaboratively across design, production and wider business teams to ensure exceptional execution, successful scheme launches and consistently high visual standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the creative development and execution of window styling concepts, contributing strategic input into seasonal campaigns and brand storytelling.
  • Develop and present styling direction and concepts to stakeholders across the wider business.
  • Research fashion, lifestyle and home trends, competitor activity and future seasonal directions to inform creative development.
  • Lead the styling and trend research and development for styling across the windows.
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver multiple concurrent projects, ensuring creative excellence while supporting commercial objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, buying teams and Retail Operations teams to ensure smooth scheme delivery and installation execution.
  • Develop installation and de-rig schedules and support out-of-hours working requirements during major installations.
  • Manage freelance styling teams during installation periods, ensuring resources are effectively planned and coordinated.
  • Oversee stock-on-loan processes, including stock logging, sample management and maintaining high levels of stock security.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brands, suppliers, buying teams and key stakeholders to support product sourcing and scheme delivery.
  • Work closely with buying teams to secure key pieces and exclusive products for schemes.
  • Ensure high standards of mannequin care, window presentation and daily maintenance throughout each scheme lifecycle.
  • Maintain compliance with health & safety standards, ensuring windows and working areas remain safe and hazard-free.

Key Competencies & Experience

  • Experience across fashion, home, lifestyle styling, window styling, visual merchandising or creative installations within fast-paced retail environments.
  • Previous line management or team leadership experience, including managing freelance teams during installations.
  • Strong creative and commercial awareness, with experience developing styling concepts through trend research and competitor analysis.
  • Excellent understanding of fashion, homeware, garment fit and product presentation, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven experience collaborating cross-functionally with creative, production, buying and retail teams to deliver successful projects and launches.
  • Strong project planning and organisational skills, with experience managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Experience managing stakeholder, supplier and brand relationships to support successful project delivery.
  • Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused, with a positive approach to working within fast-paced environments.
  • Strong understanding of stock handling, operational processes, health & safety requirements and maintaining exceptional visual standards.
