Job Introduction
Brand Voice Senior Editor – 3 month Fixed Term Contract
The Acting Brand Voice Senior Editor reports into the Brand Voice Lead within the Creative team, which sets the direction for all creative outputs and owns the translation of the Selfridges brand.
The Acting Brand Voice Senior Editor works in partnership with the Brand Voice Lead to guide and inform editors and copywriters across the business to deliver impactful brand messages to a consistent standard of excellence.
They are a copy expert who is pivotal to the delivery of Selfridges written content, and intrinsic to the customer perception of the Selfridges brand. They write copy for brand campaigns and provide copy sign-off across Selfridges outputs.
As Acting Brand Voice Senior Editor, you will:
- Operate as the gatekeeper of the Selfridges Tone of Voice, signing off copy across all customer-facing communications
- Draw on insights to create industry-leading, customer-focussed messaging that sets Selfridges apart in its vision to reinvent retail.
- Provide guidance and sign-off on a wide range of brand messaging across various channels and formats, including store signage, CRM, selfridges.com features, internal brand project documents, packaging and wayfinding.
About you
- Extensive editing, sub-editing and copywriting experience – experience within luxury retail or editorial is preferable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and confidence in presenting your work
- Creatively driven, with a high taste level and a professional and confident manner
- A team player who collaborates easily with others, is proactive and takes initiative
- Flexible, highly organised and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines across various stakeholders
