We're looking for a dynamic, digitally‐savvy marketing intern to help us build and execute a data‐driven digital marketing strategy targeted at our small and medium‐sized business (SMB) client base. You'll work directly with our Chief Commercial Officer and have real input into the direction of our marketing efforts – this is a really great opportunity for your CV!
You'll spend the summer:
- Researching SMB audiences and identifying the most effective digital channels to reach them
- Developing and documenting a digital marketing strategy with clear objectives, channels, messaging and KPIs
- Creating compelling content for social media, email campaigns, and the SmartPA website
- Managing and growing our social media presence (particularly focused on Instagram, Facebook, X and possibly TikTok)
- Analyzing paid digital campaigns (Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads)
- Using analytics tools to track performance and make data‐led recommendations
- Supporting SEO activities including keyword research and on‐page optimisation
- Collaborating with the wider Growth team on lead generation campaigns
- Presenting findings and strategy updates to senior stakeholders

Experience
Essential Qualifications
- Currently studying for a degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business or a closely related discipline (2nd or 3rd year)
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms and digital marketing principles
- Analytical mindset — comfortable working with data and drawing actionable insights
- Excellent written communication skills with an eye for engaging copy
- Proactive, self‐starter attitude with strong organisational skills
- Genuine interest in the SMB landscape and B2B marketing
Desirable Qualifications
- Hands‐on experience with tools such as HubSpot
- Familiarity with paid social or PPC advertising
- Basic knowledge of SEO best practices
- Experience managing social media accounts (personal or professional)
- InDesign or basic design skills a bonus
Work Remotely
This is a remote role however you would be welcome to travel to our Edinburgh City Centre office from time to time. We're flexible on exact arrangements and happy to discuss what works for you.
