Job Purpose
To provide consistent and accurate analytical support to the self-portrait Merchandising team focusing on covering all retail channels and strategic planning for self-portrait.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning
    • Produce new season option plans for stores.
    • Responsible for yearly, monthly, seasonal, weekly and daily budgets for the retail channels.
    • Produce new season OTBs for the retail channels.
    • Manage order placement with sourcing team to maintain stock levels in season and end of season.
    • Work closely with Buying to optimize new season buys, optimizing buy depth and size curves.
    • Support planning for end-of-season markdown, working closely with Ecom and Logistics to clear stock while optimizing revenue.
  • Trading
    • Produce weekly trade reports, measuring performance against plan, against last year and year-to-date.
    • Continually monitor product and stores performance, taking action to maximize performance.
    • Quarterly review of sales performance vs budget, re-forecasting as needed.
    • Review seasonal performance, presenting results and lessons learnt to the business.
    • Monitor any stock issues, identifying out of stocks and recut recommendations.
    • Optimize inventory.
  • Retail stores and outlets
    • Partake in initial store opening planning as part of the 5-year store expansion strategy for both full price and off price.
    • Conduct regular store visits both locally and regionally.
    • Manage product assortment and pricing for the outlet stores.
    • Work closely with Retail Managers to implement promotions, optimize visual merchandising and launch new seasons.
    • Manage new season allocations, ensuring timely deliveries and cohesive assortments.
  • Team
    • Deputize for management as needed.
    • Manage the workload and development of the Assistant Merchandiser or MAA.
