Dao Resilia is a startup developing trauma-informed martial arts programmes for young people experiencing trauma, chronic stress, and depression. We are launching our first 12-week pilot in September at Shaolin Temple UK in Tufnell Park, London.
We are looking for a Research Assistant to support the pilot by managing the survey materials that participants will complete. This is a practical, hands-on role ideal for someone interested in mental health research and community-based interventions. No prior research experience is required; you will learn on the job.
What you will do:
- Identify and obtain the standardised survey instruments we need for the pilot, covering trauma symptoms, depression, chronic stress, and resilience
- Create QR codes that link to online versions of these surveys
- Print and organise paper copies as a backup option
- Support the research team with any related administrative tasks as the pilot progresses
Who you are:
- Interested in mental health, community health, or social impact research
- Organised and reliable with attention to detail
- Comfortable working with basic digital tools (Google Forms, QR code generators)
- Interest in martial arts is important
- Experience in martial arts is a plus but not required
- No prior research experience needed
Logistics:
