Role: Our client is a 17-year-old female but presents as a newborn with cerebral palsy and is non-ambulant. Our client requires assistance between 7am and 8am to aid with getting up, personal care and getting dressed. Our client will then need assistance to the school bus which stops outside her house.
Experience with hoists and wheelchairs is preferred but training can be given. Our client enjoys cartoons, attention and up-close attention due to hearing and sight conditions. Our client does not enjoy their hair being brushed. Our client enjoys people who are bubbly, humorous and positive. You will need to be ok with the family dog, who enjoys attention.
Hours during school holidays will be slightly later; this can be discussed with our client. There may also be an opportunity for days out in the holiday.
You must have a caring attitude, a good sense of humour, be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work. This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
