We are looking for a personal assistant to help an 8-year-old boy to get out of the house and take part in some activities. He has been diagnosed with Autism and is non-verbal.
We are looking for someone to support our client to take part in activities. Our client is a happy and energetic young boy so someone with a good level of fitness would be ideal in this role. Our client likes routine and does certain activities with certain people. He enjoys swimming and going for walks but also loves using his tablet and watching TV.
Initially, you will be supporting our client at home to help build that relationship, and then onto other activities. As part of this role there will be some personal care involved. Our client is non-verbal but communicates through symbols, pointing and using his tablet.
We would ask that you write a small paragraph about yourself which will allow the family to gain a better idea of why you would like to have this post.
Applicants must have a caring attitude, have a good sense of humour, be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work. Having experience within this area would be of benefit.
This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) where you will be asked to provide a copy of your certificate to your new Employer for their records.
