We’re looking for a caring and down-to-earth individual to support a bright and curious 11‑year‑old who is autistic and currently undergoing assessments related to learning and mobility needs.

Our young client is an old soul with a big heart. They love vintage adverts, classic Disney films, retro VR games, swimming, arcade visits, and trips to the cinema. They’re happiest when surrounded by people who are kind, straightforward, and have a great sense of humour.

At times, our client can feel overwhelmed and may show this by pacing, covering their ears, or occasionally using strong language when distressed. A calm, reassuring presence is important — as is being able to gently redirect their attention, especially when it comes to managing food or emotional regulation.

Some mobility support is required, including using a wheelchair and offering personal care. While our client prefers not to walk long distances, they do have a bus pass and enjoy getting out and about — having a driver would be a bonus!

We’d love to hear from people who are:

  • Clear, direct communicators.
  • Reliable, flexible, and upbeat.
  • Patient, understanding, and quick to smile.
  • Experience is welcome but not essential — the right attitude makes all the difference.

Main Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care with dignity and respect.
  • Supporting health, wellbeing, and emotional regulation.
  • Assisting with mobility, including pushing a wheelchair.
  • Engaging in fun, meaningful activities at home and out in the community.
