We are looking for a personal care assistant for our client who is a 20‑year‑old male who would like some support to get out and about and enjoy himself. In the evening there will be some in‑home support to assist our client with his bedtime routine.
Our client is a happy young man who loves being out and about. He enjoys going out for snacks and food or going for quiet walks. Part of this role will also be supporting our client in his house during his evening routine including some personal care. Our client enjoys watching DVDs in the evening and you will support him to do this. The ideal candidate will be someone who can suggest other things to do as well.
Our client has Autism and a learning disability. He is vocal but also uses sign along and is happy to point out. There will also be some personal care attached to this role. Our client has no road safety and could be quite vulnerable so someone who is observant would be key in this role.
Applicants must have a caring attitude, a good sense of humour, be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work. Having experience within this area is preferred.
This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
