Personal Assistant - 3 Hours Per Week - Kirkcaldy (SDS/AS/354485)
We are looking for 2 personal assistants for our client who is a happy, friendly and very energetic young boy with autism, who loves spending his time going out and about.
You will be supporting our client to get out of the house and enjoy his time outside of school. This might be going out for a walk, to the beach, swimming, messy play in the house or other activities. Spending time in his home at first to build the relationship will be a key part of this role. There will be some personal care attached to this role. Being a driver is preferred as a car can be available if required.
Being patient, kind and understanding would be ideal to support our client in his activities. Our client has little sense of danger and no road sense so someone who is observant and has a good level of fitness would also be ideal. Our client isn’t fond of loud and busy places and might become upset. Our client also makes use of a wheelchair when outside.
Applicants must have a caring attitude, have a good sense of humour, be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work.
This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
