Personal Assistant - Cupar - 4 Hours Per Week (more in school holidays) (SDS/TT/323145)
This is a fun and fulfilling role supporting an 11-year-old boy with Autism and ADHD who loves animals, Lego, and the outdoors. He’s curious and energetic and needs a supportive adult to help him explore and stay safe.
You’ll Be Doing:
- Weekend trips to parks or wildlife centres
- Encouraging creative play and social interaction
- Ensuring safety during outings
- Answering questions and helping him process the world
He may need extra explanation and reassurance, so patience and kindness are essential.
- Someone with a caring, engaging attitude
- A driver with access to a car
- Someone with experience supporting children (preferred)
- Someone observant, active, and understanding
PVG Membership Requirement:
Please note that under the new legal requirements effective from April 2025, all Personal Assistants must be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
If you're not already a member, you must be willing to apply and successfully register before starting the role. SDS Options Fife will support applicants through the PVG application process if needed.
