Responsibilities

  • Support the client to go out and enjoy his time outside of school, including visits to parks, walks, cafés, and shopping venues.
  • Assist with outings such as trips to the hoover shop and Costas for a drink and a cake.
  • Plan and suggest additional suitable activities for the client.
  • Ensure the client’s safety by monitoring his sense of danger and lack of road sense.
  • Provide patient, kind, and understanding support throughout all activities.
  • Maintain a good level of fitness to support the client’s mobility requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Displaying a caring attitude, a good sense of humour, reliability and a positive, flexible approach to work.
  • Observant and fitness suitable for supporting a young boy with Autism, ADHD, learning disability, sensory perception disorder, and genetic chromosome disorder.
  • Enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) required.
