We are looking for a Personal Assistant to support our client on family outings and in and out of the home. Our client is a 9‑year‑old boy with autism.
Responsibilities
- Keep the client safe and entertained during family outings and outings away from home.
- Provide personal care assistance, including managing double incontinence, using pull‑ups, and helping with drinks, food and snacks.
- Play alongside the client and support his daily activities.
- Support the client during times when he goes out without his family.
Qualifications
- Caring attitude, patience and a positive, flexible approach to work.
- Physically able to manage an active 9‑year‑old.
- Reliability, good sense of humour, and a reliable schedule.
- Experience supporting non‑verbal autistic children (desirable, but training will be provided).
- Experience in personal care and support within this area beneficial.
- Enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) required.
