We are looking for personal assistants to help an easy-going, happy male in his early 20s who has cerebral palsy and global developmental delay.
Job Summary
Provide support to maintain independence in daily life, including morning and evening routines, and assist with community outings.
Hours
14 hours per week – 2 hours in the morning (between 7–7:30 am) and 2 hours in the evening (between 7–7:30 pm). Days to be negotiated with the applicant; extra hours may be available on a Friday for community outings.
Responsibilities
- Support the client to get ready for his day in the morning and ready for bed in the evening.
- Work with another personal assistant as part of a growing team.
- Deliver personal care, operate a hoist, assist with feeding and drinking.
- Provide companionship, chat, and sing with the client.
Qualifications
- Physical fitness is ideal due to hoist operation.
- Must have an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
