Selexa Life Sciences is partnered with an innovative medical device client, building out their Maintenance function and hiring a multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to take full accountability for site production maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults across production equipment.
  • Carry out fault finding on PLCs, control panels, motors, sensors, and mechanical systems.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
  • Support machinery installation, commissioning, and site improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, GMP, and quality standards.
  • Manage maintenance documentation, spares, and maintenance records.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through toolbox talks and safe working practices.

About You

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years' engineering experience, including 2 years post-apprenticeship.
  • Multi-skilled with strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience.
  • Experienced in PPM, breakdown maintenance, and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of PLC fault finding, three-phase motors, pneumatics, gearboxes, pumps, sensors, and control systems.
  • Proactive problem solver with excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable

  • Machinery installation and commissioning experience.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • PLC programming/fault-finding experience.
