Selexa Group Ltd are partnered with a leading food & manufacturing client in the search for 2 Shift Leads to support a robust and high-output Maintenance function. Days ONLY β 06:00 β 18:00, 4 on, 4 off.
You will be responsible for leading and coordinating a small maintenance team on the assigned shifts, ensuring smooth operation of production equipment in line with food safety & health compliance. You will be the conduit and escalation for technical issues, supporting team development and driving CI in plant performance & reliability.
Qualifications:
- C&G and/or similar Engineering Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 5 years ideally of Engineering leadership within a Maintenance or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of manufacturing engineering equipment, especially process, production, packing and filling lines
- Knowledge of PLC systems, automation and control circuits/systems
- Ideally food manufacturing and production
Key Activities:
- Lead shift maintenance team, ensuring task completion and safety guidelines adhered to
- Be the primary escalation point for complex breakdowns and technical issues, providing advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and decision-making
- Allocate and monitor daily maintenance tasks, ensuring planned Engineering activities are delivered appropriately and on time
- Liaise with production & engineering management to communicate shift performance, issues and improvement opportunities
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of maintenance activities and shift handovers
- Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring seamless integration and best practices are followed
- Drive compliance within industry standards and H&S pertinence
