Our cilent, a well-established organization is seeking a Management Accountant who is ACA qualified and has management accounts experience to join their team.
This is a full-time office based role, supporting the Group Financial Controller by consolidating and analysing financial data, preparing reports, and providing strategic information and advice.
ROLE
- Preparing monthly management accounts, statutory accounts, budgets, profit and cashflow forecasts, site cost analysis reports, and providing recommendations for cost efficiencies.
- Review and reconcile nominal ledger (N/L) and control accounts regularly.
- Collaborate with the Accounts Payable Supervisor to ensure N/L, P/L, and supplier/subcontractor payments are current.
- Assist with supplier queries and supplier account reconciliations.
- Reconciliations for all GL accounts and investigating any differences.
- Prepare reports for management and joint venture partners (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow statements).
- Prepare statutory accounts for all group operating companies.
- Prepare corporation tax computations and liaise with auditors and external tax accountants.
- Prepare annual group overhead budgets and analyse variances as part of Management Accounts preparation.
REQUIREMENTS
- Professional accounting or auditing role and experience in a management accounting position.
- Well organised and flexible.
- Experience of overseeing a company’s financial control and reporting activities.
- A recognised professional qualification from a professional institution, such as the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) or the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills along with knowledge of general ledger, budgeting, forecasting, accounting standards and compliance regulations are essential.
- Computer literate and confident with Excel and experience of COINS would be preferred.
