Our cilent, a well-established organization is seeking a Management Accountant who is ACA qualified and has management accounts experience to join their team.

This is a full-time office based role, supporting the Group Financial Controller by consolidating and analysing financial data, preparing reports, and providing strategic information and advice.

ROLE

  • Preparing monthly management accounts, statutory accounts, budgets, profit and cashflow forecasts, site cost analysis reports, and providing recommendations for cost efficiencies.
  • Review and reconcile nominal ledger (N/L) and control accounts regularly.
  • Collaborate with the Accounts Payable Supervisor to ensure N/L, P/L, and supplier/subcontractor payments are current.
  • Assist with supplier queries and supplier account reconciliations.
  • Reconciliations for all GL accounts and investigating any differences.
  • Prepare reports for management and joint venture partners (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow statements).
  • Prepare statutory accounts for all group operating companies.
  • Prepare corporation tax computations and liaise with auditors and external tax accountants.
  • Prepare annual group overhead budgets and analyse variances as part of Management Accounts preparation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Professional accounting or auditing role and experience in a management accounting position.
  • Well organised and flexible.
  • Experience of overseeing a company’s financial control and reporting activities.
  • A recognised professional qualification from a professional institution, such as the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) or the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills along with knowledge of general ledger, budgeting, forecasting, accounting standards and compliance regulations are essential.
  • Computer literate and confident with Excel and experience of COINS would be preferred.
