Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ODP plays a crucial role in the surgical environment, providing high-quality care and support to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This position requires a strong commitment to patient safety, teamwork, and effective communication within the operating theatre. Responsibilities * Prepare and maintain the operating theatre before, during, and after surgical procedures. * Assist in the administration of anaesthesia and monitor patients\’ vital signs throughout surgery. * Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care. * Maintain sterile conditions and adhere to infection control protocols at all times. * Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients pre- and post-operatively. * Participate in the cleaning and sterilisation of surgical instruments and equipment. * Document patient care activities accurately in accordance with hospital policies. * Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge within the field.
