As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Staffing Operations Manager to join our team and play a key role in driving delivery, supporting clients, and shaping the future of our business.
About the role:
- Operating as part of our shared delivery function, you’ll help manage and deliver staffing solutions for clients across Glasgow and Edinburgh, ensuring seamless fulfilment and outstanding service.
- This is a fast-paced, hands-on role for someone who thrives under pressure, thinks quickly, and enjoys solving problems in real time.
- You’ll be highly organised, confident juggling priorities, and comfortable making decisions that keep operations moving.
- While the role can be based anywhere in the Central Belt, you’ll be required to work full-time from our Glasgow Head Office for a minimum of three months during training and onboarding. After this time 1 - 2 days working from home can be discussed.
What you’ll be doing:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and hospitality team members.
- Supporting new team members through onboarding and training.
- Managing a busy team member inbox and responding to queries promptly.
- Assisting clients with booking shifts and ensuring fulfilment.
- Working closely with our technology partner Ubeya.
- Creating and checking timesheets, ensuring accuracy of data.
- Taking ownership of client accounts and developing a deep understanding of their needs.
- Supporting event check-ins when required.
- Attending regular client meetings.
- Helping to shape processes and contribute to the growth of Selective.
What we’re looking for:
- Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confident multitasker and team player.
- Experience with Excel, Microsoft and Adobe.
- Ability to plan ahead and stay calm under pressure.
- Hospitality and/or recruitment experience preferred.
- Occasional evening and weekend work will be required due to the nature of events, but this time will always be given back in lieu.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required.
Qualifications & experience:
- Management or coordination experience, including staff scheduling and resource planning.
- Client relationship management and sales experience.
- Recruitment, onboarding or team training experience.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Experience in hospitality or event staffing is a plus.
- Education or relevant experience in business, HR or a related field preferred.
