The Operations Manager is responsible for the end-to-end operational performance of Selectamark Security Systems plc, ensuring efficient, compliant and scalable delivery of products and services from the Orpington site. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the role plays a pivotal part in operational excellence, cost control, stock management and the maintenance of ISO 9001 quality standards.
- Translate business strategy into clear operational plans, KPIs and performance measures
- Oversee production planning, inventory control and stock optimisation
- Maintain accurate stock records, valuations and reconciliations
- Manage supplier relationships, procurement and service-level performance
Quality, Compliance & Risk
- Take full operational ownership of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ensuring ongoing compliance and continuous improvement
- Act as the senior operational lead for ISO 9001 internal and external audits, including certification and surveillance audits
- Ensure all operational processes are documented, controlled and aligned with ISO 9001 requirements
- Drive a quality-led culture, embedding “right first time” and corrective/preventive action methodologies
- Ensure non-conformances are investigated with root cause analysis and corrective actions implemented and monitored
- Maintain effective document control, change management and record-keeping processes
- Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and internal governance frameworks
- Identify, assess and mitigate operational, quality and supply-chain risks
- Implement performance management, training and succession planning
Financial & Commercial Management
- Provide accurate operational and stock performance reporting to the Managing Director
- Work closely with Finance and Sales to support commercial objectives
- Maximise effective use of inventory management systems
Proven experience in an Operations Manager or senior operations role. Demonstrable experience owning or managing an ISO 9001 Quality Management System. Strong commercial awareness, including cost control and working capital management. Experience operating within regulated or quality-driven environments. Experience within security systems, technology, manufacturing or scientific sectors. Experience supporting operational scale and business growth.
Pay range and compensation package
- Competitive Salary: ÂŁ50,000 - ÂŁ65,000, depending on experience.
- Benefits Package: 23 days holiday, company pension, and continued training opportunities.
