We are looking for a commercially minded and analytical Senior Group Category Manager Food & Beverage (m/f/d) to help shape and develop Selecta's food and beverage proposition across Europe. In this highly visible role, you will work closely with local procurement teams, leading FMCG suppliers and senior stakeholders to drive category growth, innovation and value creation across 13 markets.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead Group category management activities across Food & Beverage categories, including snacks, cold beverages and adjacent convenience products
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with leading regional and international suppliers
- Lead supplier negotiations, tender processes, rebate discussions and commercial reviews to create value across Selecta markets
- Drive the development and implementation of European framework agreements and commercial sourcing strategies
- Manage the sourcing strategy for hot beverage consumables such as cups, lids, stirrers and related packaging solutions
- Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, harmonisation and cost optimisation across markets
- Own and manage the Group Innovation Radar, identifying emerging consumer trends, products and suppliers across Europe
- Scout, evaluate and introduce new products, concepts and suppliers that strengthen Selecta's vending, smart fridge and micro-market propositions
- Analyse category, assortment and consumption data to identify trends, opportunities, risks and best practices across countries
- Coordinate closely with local Procurement, Sales, Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain teams to align category priorities and initiatives
- Support forecasting, price management, supplier governance and tender activities across multiple European markets
- Contribute to the development of Group Procurement processes, tools and reporting standards
- Monitor relevant food and beverage regulations and assess their impact on products, suppliers and category strategies
- Prepare management presentations, supplier reviews, category insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders and Group leadership
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Commercial Management or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, category management, buying or supplier management, ideally within FMCG, retail, food service or convenience industries
- Strong experience managing supplier relationships, commercial agreements and complex negotiations
- Proven ability to work across multiple markets and stakeholders in an international environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data, trends and insights into actionable recommendations
- Experience in category management, strategic sourcing or food and beverage procurement
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with forecasts, pricing models and category analyses
- Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities with the ability to influence without direct authority
- Familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting and analytics tools is considered an advantage
- Knowledge of procurement transformation, process improvement or digital procurement tools is beneficial
- Experience with innovation sourcing, product development or trend scouting is highly desirable
- Fluent English is required; additional European languages are an advantage
