We are hiring a Pre-Delivery Service Technician, based at one of our regional depots, who will be required to ensure all assets that are distributed into the Selecta estate are configured as to the customers' expectations and are ready to ‘plug and play’! In this role you will play a key part in working with our Machine Leader, Logistics Planners and Regional Leader to ensure assets are prepared in a timely fashion, and to the highest spec. Our solutions include digital Vending Machines, Coffee Machines, Smart Fridges, Snack Markets and more. Your Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with the Machine Leader to ensure all assets go through the PDI process according to agreed specifications.
- Ensure all H&S processes are followed when working within the PDI area.
- Manage and maintain the PDI area in your depot to the highest standard, ensuring all equipment is available as required to execute the machine set up.
- Attend any training courses required to ensure you have the correct knowledge to successfully pass each asset through the PDI process before being sent out to a customer location.
- Be proactive in your approach and take ownership when faced with challenges as they arise, and strive to ensure every asset that leaves your local depot is set for success and ready to ‘plug and play’.
- Ensure systems are updated to reflect the progress of a machine through the PDI process.
- Ensure any parts required in the set up of a machine are recorded on the system accurately.
- Be prepared to attend some machine installations should your expertise on an asset be required by the Installations Team.
- Assist the depot logistics team to load vehicles with the assets that have been through the PDI process in a way that protects them from damage whilst in transit.
- Assist the Machine Leader with the management of assets within your depot and stock takes as required.
Requirements:
- Strong practical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to handle equipment confidently and safely.
- A can-do, problem solving attitude when faced with machine issues that require a variation in approach.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure nothing leaves the PDI process without you being certain it will be successful in the field.
- Full UK driving licence and comfortable with regional travel as required.
