We have a great opportunity for an experienced Forklift Operator to join an established company located on the outskirts of Norwich on a permanent basis!
The Role
This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety - from supplying production lines and loading lorries to managing stock and picking orders. You'll be operating Counterbalance and Reach trucks as part of a well-run warehouse and production team on the outskirts of Norwich. Shifts rotate across 6am–2pm and 2pm–10pm with occasional nights (10pm–6am).
What You'll Be Doing
- Collecting freshly produced pallets and putting them into stock
- Supplying goods to production lines
- Loading and unloading lorries
- Putting away pallet stock into racking
- Picking orders by pallet or case using a computerised system
- Operating palletisers and wrapping machines
- Re-stacking, rebuilding and wrapping pallets as required
- Stock control, stock takes, daily forklift checks and general warehouse duties
About You
- Valid Counterbalance forklift licence from a nationally recognised authority - recently lapsed certificates are accepted. Reach truck certification advantageous
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or production environment
- Flexible to work rotating shifts, including occasional nights
- Own transport is essential due to the site location
- Good computer skills and understanding of warehouse stock control
- Reliable, detail-focused, and a strong team communicator
- Committed to the highest health & safety standards
