Location: Home working and travel to locations as required in the Ayrshire, Lanarkshire and Dumfries & Galloway region, as well as attendance at the SELECT office (The Walled Garden, Bush Estate, Midlothian, EH26 0SB).

Overview of the role:
SELECT is seeking a proactive and professional Technical Services Adviser to support the Director of Technical Services through the Technical Services Manager by providing high quality and cost-effective support for Members in the area of technical compliance.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Provision of technical assistance and services to Members.
- Provision of technical services for SELECT through the Technical Services Manager.
- Assisting Director of Technical Services and Technical Services Manager as required.
- To always act according to the staff's shared values and customer service standards.
- In addition to these functions, employees are required to carry out other duties as may be reasonably required.
Qualifications and experience:
This role requires candidates to hold a minimum of 4 years experience in the electrical industry, which includes training and safety responsibilities. In addition to this, applicants must:
- Be an experienced Electrical Engineer with professional registration.
- Have good knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice.
- Have up to date knowledge and qualification in BS 7671:2018 (as amended) Requirements for Electrical Installation - IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition.
- Able to prepare letters, reports, minutes, technical guidance and training material.
- Able to deliver technical presentations to a high standard using a variety of methods.
- Have a full driving license.
