This is a high-impact opportunity to join an international business and provide financial leadership and commercial insight across its global operations.
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director, you will act as a key business partner to senior stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Supply Chain and Operations.
You will help drive profitable growth through effective pricing governance, customer and product profitability analysis, forecasting and commercial performance reporting.
The role
Key responsibilities will include
- Leading the financial evaluation of customer pricing proposals, contract renewals and RFQ submissions.
- Partnering with regional commercial leaders and Key Account Managers to support pricing and customer negotiations.
- Ensuring pricing decisions reflect margin targets, market conditions, commodity movements and wider strategic objectives.
- Delivering detailed product, product-family and customer profitability analysis.
- Identifying opportunities to improve margins through pricing, product-mix optimisation and cost recovery.
- Supporting the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts across the commercial organisation.
- Challenging assumptions and improving forecast accuracy and commercial accountability.
- Translating volume and demand forecasts into revenue, margin and profitability projections as part of the S&OP process.
- Working with Sales, Supply Chain and Operations to identify forecast risks, commercial opportunities and capacity implications.
- Analysing sales opportunities and pipeline performance using Salesforce data.
- Producing monthly sales, margin and profitability reporting for the Executive Leadership Team and Board.
- Delivering clear variance analysis across actual, budget, forecast and prior-year performance.
- Supporting Board presentations, executive commentary and senior-level decision-making.
- Driving continuous improvement across commercial reporting, analytical capability and financial processes.
About you
We are looking for a commercially minded finance professional who can combine strong technical capability with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
You will ideally have
- A recognised professional accountancy qualification, such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
- Strong commercial finance and business partnering experience.
- Experience supporting pricing decisions, tenders, RFQs and profitability analysis.
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills.
- A strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with business intelligence or reporting tools.
- The ability to translate complex financial information into clear commercial recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- The credibility to influence senior leaders and challenge constructively.
- Experience working within a global, multisite or manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
