The Opportunity
As BDM, you will take ownership of driving new business growth, developing strategic customer relationships, and expanding market presence across key sectors including Aerospace & Defence, Medical, Industrial, and Automotive. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on winning new business, developing customer partnerships, and delivering sustainable revenue growth through a consultative sales approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive new customer acquisition.
- Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities across target markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.
- Collaborate with internal engineering, operations, quality, and commercial teams to deliver customer solutions.
- Lead commercial negotiations, proposals, quotations, and contract discussions.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline and deliver against agreed revenue targets.
- Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities to expand market presence.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies within electronics manufacturing.
- Ensure all customer activity is accurately recorded within CRM systems.
About You
We are looking for a commercially driven sales professional with a proven track record of winning and developing business within the electronics manufacturing sector. You will likely possess:
- Significant experience in EMS, PCBA, electronics manufacturing, or related technology sectors.
- Strong knowledge of Aerospace & Defence, Medical, Industrial, and/or Automotive markets.
- Demonstrated success in generating new business and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify profitable growth opportunities.
- A proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to operate autonomously.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively to customers across the UK.
