Experience and Skills * A background in electronic components, applications engineering, electronics design or technical sales. * A degree, HND or equivalent practical experience in electronics, electrical engineering or a related discipline. * The technical confidence to discuss electronic designs, interpret datasheets and translate application requirements into suitable component recommendations. * A commercially minded approach, with an interest in developing accounts and converting technical opportunities into sales. * An understanding of the electronics design cycle and how component selection progresses through evaluation, qualification and production. * Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build credibility with engineers and commercial stakeholders. * An organised, proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple customer projects with differing development timescales. * The ability to work independently, plan customer and site visits, and maintain consistent follow-up. * Willingness to travel regularly across the UK and occasionally internationally. * A full UK driving licence. Desirable Experience * Previous experience in a Field Application Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer or electronics design role. * Experience securing design wins or supporting customers through component evaluation and qualification. * Knowledge of components such as semiconductors, passives, connectors, power devices, sensors, RF or timing products. * Experience working with component manufacturers, distributors, OEMs or electronic manufacturing services providers. * Familiarity with high-reliability or regulated applications, particularly aerospace, defence, medical or industrial electronics.
