Working pattern: Monday to Friday, three-shift rotation (6am-2pm – early, 8am – 4pm – days & 2pm – 10pm evening)

Salary: £27,500 - £32,916 (depending on experience) + Shift allowance (£4,500)

Role Overview

Warehousing & Compounding duties:

  • Receipt of incoming goods following company protocols on the management of works vehicles on site;
  • Loading and unloading of Hauliers vehicles/containers for incoming and outgoing goods & shipments;
  • Blending cold compounds;
  • Preparing goods for despatch to a global market by various shipping methods;
  • Transfer of goods to the correct stores location;
  • Booking and labeling of packaging materials;
  • Packing down of finished product into relevant containers in line with customer requirements;
  • Sampling of raw materials/traded products where necessary;
  • Administration – booking of raw materials onto the computer system;
  • Weekly stock check of raw materials;
  • Ensuring the production facilities are kept clear of unused raw materials and relocating for stock accuracy.

Production duties will involve:

  • To ensure that the production plan is followed whilst on shift, modifying it if necessary after consultation with the production management;
  • To be accountable for the full and comprehensive recording of process information and adherence to process work instructions;
  • To monitor processing for non-conformances and to report such to the Plant Team Leader; be accountable for variances against standard yields and times;
  • To ensure the efficient processing of products in relation to raw materials, labour, plant occupancy and plant utilisation in a safe manner;
  • Where required, to be involved in the documentation, development, and scale up of new processes from the Process Development Team;
  • To ensure that the designated plant is maintained in a safe and operational manner by liaison with maintenance personnel;
  • To ensure the safe and complete handover of the designated areas to the oncoming shift.

The Person:

  • NVQ L2 or 3 in PPO or equivalent is desirable, as is experience of extraction/distillation/blending processes;
  • Valid FLT Licence (Counterbalance) is essential;
  • Experience of working in a batch production environment;
  • Excellent team working skills coupled with ability to work on own initiative;
  • ‘Can-do’ attitude and flexible approach to work coupled with strong continuous improvement ethic.
