Select Surveys is expanding and we are looking for an experienced Senior Utility Surveyor to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of infrastructure and construction projects across the UK, supporting some of the country’s largest schemes. With offices in the South East and projects nationwide, Select Surveys continues to grow its field and technical teams. Our focus is on delivering accurate, reliable utility survey data that helps clients reduce risk and build with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing utility survey projects from site start through to final delivery
- Using modern survey equipment including GPS, total stations, GPR and electromagnetic locating tools
- Accurately locating and recording underground services and associated features
- Providing survey data to CAD and project teams in line with company procedures and PAS 128
- Working directly with clients and site teams to ensure smooth delivery of works
- Supporting and mentoring junior surveyors
- Checking site data for quality and completeness before submission
- Looking after survey equipment and ensuring it remains in good working order
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Strong experience in utility surveying, ideally in a senior or lead role
- Good understanding of PAS 128 and industry best practice
- Confident using GPR and electromagnetic detection equipment
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Able to manage changing workloads and priorities
- Willing to travel to sites across the UK
- Full UK manual driving licence
- Relevant surveying or related qualifications preferred
