Job Role Summary

The Educational Tour Coordinator Supervisor oversees the smooth and efficient delivery of educational tours, while leading and supporting a team of Tour Coordinators, including remote colleagues. The role combines tour coordination, team leadership and operational support, working closely with Party Leaders, suppliers, Sales Support and internal teams to ensure a seamless customer journey from booking through to tour completion. The Supervisor provides clear guidance to the Coordination team, manages workloads and priorities, and ensures Sales Support receives accurate and timely operational information, helping to deliver consistently high standards across every tour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily supervision, guidance and support to Tour Coordinators, including remote team members, managing workloads, priorities, performance and development.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new Tour Coordinators, ensuring they understand key systems, processes and customer service expectations.
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of educational tours, from group allocation through to post-tour feedback, ensuring arrangements, documentation and itineraries are accurate and delivered to a high standard.
  • Work closely with Sales Support to ensure a smooth transition from booking to tour delivery, providing accurate and timely information and resolving operational queries where required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Party Leaders, suppliers and internal teams, ensuring clear and professional communication throughout the customer journey.
  • Monitor upcoming tours, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues, last-minute changes or operational challenges.
  • Encourage and support the development of new product ideas, using customer feedback, market trends, destination knowledge and team experience to identify opportunities.
  • Identify and implement improvements to processes, communication and workflows across Tour Coordination, Sales Support and other internal teams.
  • Provide operational support for educational FAM trips, inspection visits and other programme activities, contributing to continuous improvement and an excellent customer experience.
