Tyre & Maintenance Controller
Location: Norwich (Office-Based)
Salary: Β£35,000 β Β£37,000 (DOE)
Contract: Permanent | Full-Time
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:30pm

The Role
This is a fast-paced, office-based position at the heart of fleet operations. As a Tyre & Maintenance Controller, you\βll be the key link between suppliers, depots, technicians, drivers, and customers β keeping vehicles safe, compliant, and on the road. You\βll spend a large part of your day handling telephone calls, coordinating work, authorising repairs, and keeping everyone updated. It\βs a role that combines technical knowledge, organisation, and great communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Authorising and managing tyre work with suppliers
- Authorising and overseeing vehicle maintenance and repair work
- Handling incoming calls relating to breakdowns, service updates, and MOT scheduling
- Providing clear advice and updates to customers on service and repair progress
- Liaising confidently with depots, technicians, drivers, and suppliers
- Maintaining accurate records of authorised and completed work
- Creating and processing invoices
- Responding to queries and providing general support
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong knowledge of tyres and vehicle maintenance (essential)
- Experience in a similar role within transport, fleet, or vehicle maintenance (desirable)
- Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
- Confident communicator who can work with a range of stakeholders
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to prioritise in a busy environment
