Stores Team Leader in Thetford

Stores Team Leader | Thetford | Permanent | Early Finish Fridays Our client, a well-established manufacturer based in Thetford, is looking for an experienced Stores Team Leader to manage its stores operation.  Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you’ll lead a small stores team, be responsible for a wide product range and work closely with Purchasing and Production to keep the business supplied. Key tasks: Leading, motivating and training the stores team, and managing performance through regular reviews Meeting daily with the Production Manager and Team Leaders to plan requirements and resolve stock or production issues Making sure all deliveries are booked in and put away correctly, and all issues are booked out, every day Liaising daily with Purchasing on orders and keeping the stock and purchasing system accurate  Running monthly rolling stock takes efficiently and on time Following quality control procedures and standard operating procedures Owning health and safety in stores, including risk assessments, weekly audits, accident investigation and making sure equipment is maintained to regulations Spotting opportunities and driving continuous improvement in stock management systems, processes and controls Experience required: Experience in a stores, stock control or warehouse role  Experience leading or supervising a small team Valid forklift licence and forklift experience  Full UK driving licence  Confident with IT and stock systems Good communication skills Attention to detail  This is a great opportunity for an experienced stores professional to take the lead in a key department and play an important part in the smooth running of a successful manufacturing business.
