Stores Team Leader | Thetford | Permanent | Early Finish Fridays
Our client, a well-established manufacturer based in Thetford, is looking for an experienced Stores Team Leader to manage its stores operation.
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you'll lead a small stores team, be responsible for a wide product range and work closely with Purchasing and Production to keep the business supplied.
Key tasks:
- Leading, motivating and training the stores team, and managing performance through regular reviews
- Meeting daily with the Production Manager and Team Leaders to plan requirements and resolve stock or production issues
- Making sure all deliveries are booked in and put away correctly, and all issues are booked out, every day
- Liaising daily with Purchasing on orders and keeping the stock and purchasing system accurate
- Running monthly rolling stock takes efficiently and on time
- Following quality control procedures and standard operating procedures
- Owning health and safety in stores, including risk assessments, weekly audits, accident investigation and making sure equipment is maintained to regulations
- Spotting opportunities and driving continuous improvement in stock management systems, processes and controls
Experience required:
- Experiencein a stores, stock control or warehouse role
- Experience leading or supervising a small team
- Valid forklift licence and forklift experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Confident with IT and stock systems
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail
