The Role
As a Hoist Operator, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of personnel and materials across site, helping to keep operations running smoothly and ensuring work progresses safely and on schedule.
Key Duties
- Operating the site hoist safely and efficiently
- Transporting personnel, equipment, and materials throughout the site
- Carrying out daily pre-use checks and reporting any defects
- Monitoring the safe operation of the hoist throughout the working day
- Communicating effectively with site management and operatives
- Adhering to all site health and safety procedures
- Reporting faults, incidents, or potential hazards promptly
Essential Requirements
- Valid CPCS Hoist Operator card (essential)
- Previous experience operating hoists on busy construction sites
- Strong understanding of site health and safety requirements
- Reliable and professional approach to work
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a site team
