On behalf of an established and expanding renewable energy specialist, we're looking for a confident, hands-on Electrical Supervisor to join a team in Norwich, leading installation crews across solar PV and battery storage projects.
About the Role
You'll take day-to-day ownership of site performance - keeping installation crews on track, upholding safety and quality standards, and working alongside the Operations and Project Managers to see jobs through cleanly from start to finish, on time and within budget. Please note this role involves travel to sites, with overnight stays away from home when required.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing and mentoring electricians, improvers, site supervisors and subcontractors
- Championing a robust safety culture and ensuring on-site compliance throughout
- Supervising installation, testing and commissioning of solar and battery storage systems
- Running site inspections, risk assessments and quality audits
- Spotting opportunities for operational improvement and putting them into action
- Capturing lessons learnt through structured post-project reviews
- Fault-finding and resolving more complex electrical issues on site
- Keeping an eye on labour and materials usage to help control costs
- Working closely with Project Managers to hit deadlines and budget targets
What We're Looking For
- A track record of supervising electrical teams or projects
- Practical experience installing solar PV and battery storage systems
- 18th Edition (BS 7671) qualification
- C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing
- Solid grasp of Health & Safety and CDM regulations
- Familiarity with G99/G100 grid connections and DNO liaison
- Commercial awareness for managing resources on site
- Full UK driving licence
