Quality Technician: Temporary, Immediate Start The role We are looking for an experienced Quality Technician to join a regulated manufacturing site on a temporary basis. You will support the production teams by checking products, investigating problems and making sure everything is properly documented. The site works to strict medical quality standards, so accuracy matters. We need someone who can start straight away and get up to speed quickly. Main duties Helping to investigate quality issues on the production line and find solutions Carrying out in-process and final product acceptance testing Spotting and recording product and process non-conformances Taking part in material review meetings to deal with non-conformance reports Checking device history records and supporting batch release Entering and retrieving quality data on company systems Carrying out site calibration work and keeping accurate records Completing environmental monitoring and keeping accurate records Checking calculations and special instructions before products are processed and released Making decisions on whether raw materials, work in progress and finished products are acceptable What we are looking for Strong experience in a manufacturing, repair or technical production environment or some experience plus a relevant engineering or science qualification (for example an HNC, HND or foundation degree) Good maths skills, including ratios, proportions and basic algebra A methodical approach with a keen eye for detail The ability to write clear, accurate and well-organised documentation Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting with tight deadlines A good team player who works well with others to solve technical problems Confident using a PC, including Excel and Word Experience of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, MDSAP, FDA or EU MDR standards would be very useful, though full training on site procedures will be provided. Working conditions This is a hands-on, site-based role. You will spend time standing, walking and bending, and carrying out detailed hands-on and visual checks.
