We are currently recruiting General Operatives for a busy and well-established manufacturing company specialising in precast concrete walls and products. This is a hands‑on, physical role within a fast‑paced production environment, offering full‑time, ongoing work with an immediate start available. As a General Operative, you will play a key role in the production process, helping to manufacture high-quality concrete products while maintaining safety and efficiency on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the production of precast concrete walls and related products
- Install reinforcing steel (rebar) into moulds prior to concrete pouring
- Adjust rebar sizes in line with specifications
- Paint and finish concrete products when required
- Load and unload materials safely
- Support other areas of the production process as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Work as part of a team to meet production targets
Requirements
- Previous manufacturing or production experience is preferred
- Good attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
- Ability to follow health and safety procedures at all times
- Reliable with good timekeeping and attendance
- Own transport is beneficial due to location
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, outdoor or open production environment
