We're looking for people with genuine precision skills — whether that's gained on a workbench, at a jeweller's loupe, in a salon, or under the bonnet of a car — to train as Repair Technicians at our client's specialist repair facility in Northampton.
You'll be trained from the ground up to service, restore, and repair high-value instruments, working on optics, tubing, circuitry, camera lenses, and precision-machined parts. No previous experience needed. What matters most is precision, patience, and the ability to work with small, delicate components.
What You'll Be Doing
- Full training on all instrument types — how they work, their specifications, and how to repair them
- Examining, testing, and troubleshooting equipment to identify faults
- Hands-on repair work using microscopes, soldering irons, grinders, sanders, and polishers
- Repairing casings, tubing, circuitry, lenses, and machined parts
- Working to strict quality, safety, and ISO standards
