Grounds Assistant – Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital Location: Norwich, NR4 Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00–14:30 + every 3rd Saturday We are currently recruiting an experienced Grounds Assistant to work at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in groundskeeping, gardening, or general outdoor maintenance to work in a supportive, healthcare-focused environment. Key Responsibilities: General grounds maintenance – digging, planting, pruning, mowing, edging Sweeping and pressure washing external areas (car parks, entrances, walkways) Gritting and snow clearing during cold weather; maintaining grit bins Caring for external furniture (e.g. treating wooden benches) Identifying and treating plant pests and diseases safely Safe use and maintenance of grounds equipment Supporting and buddying new staff as required Ensuring all work is completed in line with Health & Safety and Trust procedures Requirements: Experience in grounds maintenance or similar outdoor work Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather Reliable and proactive with good attention to detail Able to follow health & safety guidelines and complete routine checks Interested?
