We are working on behalf of an established commercial building services business specialising in electrical design, based in London, who are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical D&B Estimator to their team.

The Role

This is a full-cycle estimating position, covering everything from initial tender review through to handover of successful tender information to the project team. You will play a significant role in shaping project outcomes, with direct involvement in negotiations and the opportunity to work across a varied and impressive project portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing tender packages, including technical drawings and supporting documentation
  • Carrying out base electrical designs to underpin the quoting process
  • Producing detailed estimates and cost plans across multiple live tenders
  • Organising and maintaining tender folders with all relevant documentation
  • Attending design meetings and conducting site surveys during the tender phase
  • Participating in tender negotiations
  • Handing over successful tender information to the project team with a full briefing on scope of works
  • Identifying commercial risks and opportunities throughout the estimating process

The Candidate

  • Experience in Electrical Design & Build estimating (Essential)
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems (Essential)
  • Confident communicator
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work to tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with general IT systems
