We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Alumni Relations & Events Manager to play a key role in engaging a global alumni community and supporting a wider development and fundraising program.
This is a varied, hands-on role requiring excellent event management skills, outstanding interpersonal abilities, and a proactive, service-oriented approach.
The Role
- Manage and deliver a full program of alumni engagement, donor cultivation and stewardship events
- Lead events from concept to completion, including budgets, risk assessments, logistics and post-event evaluation
- Support and enhance alumni engagement initiatives and benefits
- Work closely with alumni volunteers, including committees and councils
- Maintain accurate records and uphold high standards of data protection and confidentiality
- Represent the Development Office internally and externally as required
The role involves regular evening and weekend work and some travel.
About You
- Proven experience planning and delivering successful events
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior and external audiences
- The ability to manage multiple priorities calmly and accurately
- A strong alignment with the ethos and values of an educational or membership-based organisation
- Experience in alumni relations, higher education, charity or use of CRM systems (such as Raiser’s Edge) is desirable but not essential.
What’s Offered
- Salary of £35,000–£37,000 depending on experience
