As a Male Support Worker, you will bring compassion, motivation, and reliability to our dedicated care team. In this rewarding and impactful role, you will play a vital part in delivering person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, empowering them to lead independent, fulfilling lives. This role involves supporting Service Users on 1:1 support basis with daily living tasks and accompanying them to planned activities, appointments, and social outings; all with the aim of promoting independence, dignity, and choice.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting Service Users with everyday tasks:
- Domestic chores (e.g. cleaning, laundry)
- Meal preparation
- Personal care
- Budgeting and money management
- Engaging with the local community and accessing amenities (driver licence required)
- Following and implementing personalised support plans to help individuals achieve their goals and aspirations
- Delivering high-quality, person-centred care
- Work collaboratively with families, in-house teams, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each Service User
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records, including:
- Daily notes
- Medication administration records
- Risk assessments
- Incident and accident reports
Essential
- A compassionate, empathetic, and respectful approach to care
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays
- Willingness to learn and undertake full training
- Full UK Driving Licence
