Hourly rate: £Flexible INSIDE IR35 (Umbrella) Role overview: * The role of the Trim Engineer is to coordinate the development of the trim covers manage the trim technician activities, providing guidance ensuring adherence to the project timeline, feasibility, and product cost targets. * Key aspect of the role is to provide day to day technical guidance on engineering solutions and guarantee all engineering documentation is concisely documented to required audit / industry standards. * Guarantee that the product is complaint, innovative (where required), robust and feasible for production assembly and methods. Key Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge: * Completed technical studies preferably in the field of textile technology or several years of professional experience. * Work experience in the automotive industry is an advantage. * Good Automotive Seating Trim Cover knowledge (Woven, Non-Woven, Leather, PVC, PU) * Good knowledge of manufacturing / production processes of Seating Trim materials (Woven, Non-Woven, Leather, PVC, PU) * Experience / knowledge in Seating Trim Cover production. Knowledge of sewing and construction processes * Basic understanding of extruded plastics (Polypropylene) * Basic understanding of Plastic injection moulding processes * Experience in quality processes is desirable. * Proactivity and innovative thinking * High degree of self-organization and willingness to make decisions independently.
