Select Control Systems is hiring an experienced Panel Wirer to join our team in Washington. If you take real pride in neat, accurate panel wiring and can work confidently from electrical drawings and schematics, this is a strong opportunity to join a stable and growing business with a solid reputation for quality.
The role
You will build and wire control panels from bare backplates through to final assembly. The work includes new panel builds, modifications to existing panels, and occasional support with customer site wiring and installation.
What you will be doing
- Building and wiring control panels from drawings and schematics
- Laying out and fitting components
- Looming, crimping, terminating and final assembly work
- Preparing panels for test and FAT
- Marking up drawings as built and feeding back issues to engineering
- Working safely, accurately and to production deadlines
What we are looking for
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Good practical wiring and assembly skills
- High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
- A reliable, proactive approach and good team attitude
Desirable experience
- Electrical qualification
- Siemens and Allen Bradley equipment
- Freehand looming in complex control panels
- Knowledge of IEC60204 and UL508A
