Main Purpose of Role
The Van Leasing Consultant is a sales-based role, with the main purpose of managing incoming customer enquiries/leads. The Van Leasing Consultant responds to customer enquiries in a timely manner, ensuring that customers receive excellent service and appropriate information regarding their enquiry. This role directly impacts Sales Team performance and, consequently, the success of the business.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer relationships by being the face of the business, critical to building a positive first impression. Support customers through their leasing journey and ensure they are treated fairly in line with the Select ‘DRIVE’ values.
- Day-to-day management of sales leads/enquiries by responding to new leads and managing existing customers, adhering to sales processes and best practices. Update all systems accordingly and provide clear information to customers.
- Stay on track with daily tasks and activities while adopting the right behaviours to achieve success.
- Support the Head of Sales and wider management.
- Provide regular feedback and communication to the Sales Manager on personal performance and assist with complaints resolution.
- Ensure appropriate information is communicated clearly to customers and maintain regular communication with the manager regarding personal performance.
- Provide clear reporting on personal sales performance to the Sales Manager to ensure sales targets are achieved.
- Support effective management of relationships with key suppliers and partners, as well as internal relationship management between teams and departments.
- Stay aware of and up to date on compliance, completing all e-learning and any other applicable training as requested. Understand FCA guidelines and take accountability. Identify and log complaints as required and proactively seek resolutions for potential business risks.
- Support the Select Car Leasing Health & Safety Policy and escalate any identified health & safety issues to the H&S Manager and/or Directors.
Skills/Experience/Knowledge
- Experience working within the Van Leasing or Motor industry (desirable).
- Experience working within a busy sales team and familiarity with sales processes and systems.
- Experience in compliance (desirable, specific to the industry).
- Knowledge of sales processes, van leasing, and the motor industry.
- Approachable, supportive, assertive, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach.
