Fancy being at the heart of a busy, fast-paced warehouse operation? Our client β a well-established supplier of specialist aftermarket parts to the packaging machinery industry β is looking for a hands-on, reliable Warehouse Assistant to join their growing Norfolk team.
As Warehouse Assistant, you'll be right in the thick of the action: checking in goods, keeping stock accurate, and getting orders out the door on time. This role offers real variety, with day-to-day involvement across goods-in, stock control, despatch, and even a bit of exposure to the technical and buying sides of the business.
As Warehouse Assistant, you will have the opportunity to:
- Check in receipt of goods and supplies, verifying correct product description, quantity, and quality
- Store goods accurately, keeping location, identification, and count spot on
- Create pick tickets and despatch notes
- Prepare stock for despatch by external logistics suppliers
- Complete perpetual stock counts
- Assist the technical team with basic engineering duties
- Assist the buying team with basic purchasing functions
- Get involved in any other tasks set by the Supply Chain Manager, Warehouse Manager, or the Company
