Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 16:30
Pay: £12.21 per hour (Temp to Perm, with pay increase upon permanent placement)
Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse & Shipping Operative to join our client\’s team. This role is key in ensuring orders are prepared, processed, and dispatched efficiently, including international shipments.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Royal Mail and FedEx systems, a good understanding of commercial invoices, and strong spreadsheet skills to manage shipment data.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and send out all post and parcels, including international deliveries.
- Pick, package, and process customer orders.
- Liaise with courier services such as FedEx, DPD, and Royal Mail.
- Unload deliveries, check stock, and book items into inventory systems.
- Maintain warehouse equipment and order supplies as needed.
- Handle customer queries in a professional manner.
- Create and process commercial invoices for shipments.
- Maintain accurate records using spreadsheets and shipment management systems.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience handling Royal Mail and FedEx shipments.
- Strong knowledge of commercial invoices and shipping documentation.
- Competent with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets).
- Computer literate with good attention to detail.
- Physically fit and able to handle warehouse duties.
- Forklift licence/experience desirable.
- Reliable, proactive, and a good problem-solver.
